THRISSUR: Dr P T Latha, welfare officer, Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram, said sending out the list of SDM beneficiaries is regular event in the welfare calendar of the RCC. “This year we have a sent a list of 60 deserving people who received a cheque for $150 each,” she said.
Fr. Francis Kurissery, director of Amala Institute of Medical Sciences, Thrissur, said apart from providing direct financial aid to cancer patients and their families, the SDM has been also sponsoring beds in the hospital.
