KOCHI: Mission LNG Mega Assembly will be held at the Gokulam Convention Centre at Kaloor here at 3 pm on Monday. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the assembly.

Ministers P K Kunhalikutty, K Babu, Aryadan Muhammed, Anoop Jacob, MPs Prof K V Thomas, P K Sreemathy, Innocent, P Rajeev, BJP state president V Muraleedharan, CPI secretary Panniyan Raveendran, Janata Dal(S) president M P Veerendrakumar, Petronet LNG chairman A K Balyan, GAIL chairman B C Tripadi, Trade union leaders Elamaram Kareem, Kanam Rajendran, R Chandrasekharan, Ahmedkutty Unnikkulam, M P Bhargavan along with representatives of Residents’ Associations and other organisations will participate in the event.
“Even after one year of commissioning the Petronet LNG Terminal at Puthuvype, the state has not derived any benefit out of it due to the non-laying of pipelines. Now that the national natural gas pipeline has reached Karnataka, it is hightime we implement the pipeline network in Kerala,” said Mathew Kuruvithadam, chairman, Kerala Chamber of Commerce and Industry, main organiser of Mission LNG Mega Assembly.
