CM to Open GKSF on Dec 1

KOTTAYAM:  Riding on success wave, the state government is gearing up for the eighth edition of Grand Kerala Shopping Festival (GKSF), which would be inaugurated by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy in Kottayam on December 1.

The largest shopping carnival of the state will end in January 2015. The festival is being organised by the state government in association with the Tourism Department, which will offer 100 per cent VAT refund to tourists from outside the state, who visit and shop in Kerala, during the season.

The organisers are all set to begin ‘Season 8’ as one of the biggest ever shopping extravaganza, with novel initiatives and exciting prizes to shops, shoppers and customers. Besides glitzy prizes, an array of entertainment is also awaiting. The budget of GKSF season 8 will be `40 crore.
