ISL: Traffic Curbs in Kochi Today

KOCHI: The city traffic police have announced traffic curbs across the city on Friday in view of the International Super League (ISL) football match scheduled to be held at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium, Kaloor. The traffic authorities informed that the movement of vehicles, except service buses will be regulated along the Edappally-North RoB Stretch.

The parking of the vehicles on both sides from Edappally to North ROB will be restricted. Similarly, parking will be banned from the main gate to the stadium and surroundings. Those who arrive in small vehicles from Palarivattam side should take a deviation to Thammanam road and those coming from Vyttila side should take a deviation from SA Road and proceed to Kaloor-Kadavanthra Road to reach the rear side of the stadium.

The drivers can take their vehicles at parking grounds in front of the stadium or at St Albert’s College Ground, Karanakodam St Jude Church Ground, IMA Ground, the Water Authority Ground at the rear side of the stadium or  Helipad ground.  Similarly, the vehicles coming from far away places can be parked on the service roads on both sides of the Edappally-Vyttila national highway, Seaport-Airport road and the Container Terminal road.

The vehicles coming from the northern districts have to stop and drop the people at Edappally bypass junction and should be parked on the Container Terminal road.

The vehicles coming from southern districts and from Kottayam side should drop people at Vyttila junction and should be parked on the service road on both sides of NH Bypass.

Similarly, the vehicles coming from the eastern side such as Idukki, Kakkanad and Muvattupuzha should drop people at Palarivattom bypass junction and park beside the NH bypass.
