KOTTAYAM: Oncologist Dr V P Gangadharan, anaesthetist Dr M R Rajagopal and orthopedic specialist Dr S Santhosh Kumar were selected for the first ever Kairali People Doctors Awards set up by the Malayalam Communications Limited.
Dr Gangadharan has re-kindled hope in many cancer patients while Dr Rajagopal engendered palliative treatment in India, said Dr B Iqbal of the judges panel.
Dr Santhosh Kumar, representing younger generation medicos, has worked in calamity and riot-hit areas of 30 countries for the past 20 years, he said, adding that the doctor is now serving the injured in Nepal.
