PALAKKAD:  Both the CPM and the BJP stoked violence in the name of religion and politics and therefore only the Congress could protect the secular fabric, said KPCC president V M Sudheeran.

He was speaking at the reception accorded to the Jana Raksha Yathra in Mannarkad on Friday.

Sudheeran said that the CPM was following a blind hatred towards the Congress.

The BJP on the other hand was trying to take India into the dark ages and therefore all secular forces should unite under the Congress banner.

The Janaraksha yathra was given a reception at Kodathipadi in Mannarkad. KPCC secretary P J Paulose presided over the meet.
