UDF Asks Government to Institute Probe Into CPM-Solar Conwoman-Liquor Lobby Conspiracy

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The UDF High Power Committee which met here today has asked the government to order a comprehensive probe into the conspiracy between the CPM,Solar conwoman Saritha S Nair and liquor lobby in the state ,in the Solar scam. '' A sum of  Rs 10 crores and a flat has been given to Saritha to fulfill the conspiracy and malign the name of  chief minister Oommen Chandy and family'',UDF convenor P P Thankachan alleged at a post-meet press conference here today.

He said that Saritha ,in an interview given to a magazine way back in 2014,had disclosed that a CPM MLA had offered Rs 10 crores and the Alappuzha CPM district secretary had offered a house to her.''The liquor lobby had extended help for this .Since the CPM had not denied the disclosures made by Saritha till date,it's clear that a conspiracy had taken place. The CPM,which held Saritha earlier as one who cannot be trusted, has full faith in Saritha now'',he ridiculed.

Thankachan said further that CPM politburo member Pinarayi Vijayan's statement that the liquor policy will only have a life till March 31 and the policy will be changed when a new government comes to power also points to a conspiracy.''The UDF meet felt that the probe into the conspiracy should cover all such angles'',he said, adding that the government can decide on what kind of probe should be initiated.

The UDF meet also noted that Kerala could only tread in fear when CPM extols Pinarayi Vijayan as its future chief minister.''Look how he had justified the attack on T P Srinivasan. The CPM is trying to spread the Kannur brand politics of  violence all over the state'',he said.

Thankachan said that none can topple the UDF government and the front would repeat its victory in the ensuing assembly polls also.
