Kerala Assembly special sitting to witness passage of Bill on Malayalam

The government hopes to bring in the Bill making Malayalam compulsory in schools in the state on Thursday. An ordinance in this regard has already been promulgated.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A special sitting of the Kerala Assembly scheduled to be held at the Old Assembly Hall at the state Secretariat here on Thursday will have an added significance, besides the fact it was 60 years to the day on April 27, 1957, when the House had convened for the first time.
