Appointment row: BJP leader V Muralidharan castigates Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, K K Shylaja

BJP national executive member V Muralidharan on Friday alleged Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Health Minister K K Shylaja had conspired in the appointment of T B Suresh.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP national executive member V Muralidharan on Friday alleged Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Health Minister K K Shylaja had conspired in the appointment of T B Suresh as member of the Kerala State Commission for Child Rights.

“The Chief Minister and the Health Minister jointly decided to appoint Suresh, who is booked in 12 criminal cases, including one related to sexual harassment, to the post. Pinarayi was protecting Shylaja as he too had been involved in the decision,” Muralidharan said in a statement.

On the High Court Division Bench deleting adverse remarks made by the Single Judge against Shylaja, Muralidharan said, “The High Court did not say the remarks were wrong. Rather, it deleted the remarks which were made without hearing the minister.”

“The Lokayukta registered a case against Shylaja as there is evidence against her. Instead of becoming a laughing stock, Shylaja should immediately resign from the Cabinet,” Muralidharan said.
