MALAPPURAM: The Kondotty police have registered a case against four persons on charges of caste abuse. The girl from Thiruvananthapuram attempted suicide after she had to suffer caste abuse from her friends. The girl tried to jump out of a lodge at Karipur, where she was staying.
According to the Kondotty police, the girl, a student of a private aviation institute, came to the Calicut International Airport a few days ago as part of training. The police said action was taken after they recorded the girl’s statement. According to the police, she was taken to the Kozhikode Government Medical College, and later to a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. Police said a probe is on into the incident.
