THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala State Sports Council (KSSC) is organising an athletics meet for students of CBSE, ICSE, Navodaya and Kendriya Vidyalaya schools at here on January 30 and 31. “We are focusing on sports events relevant to schools following the Central syllabus. This year we are holding only athletics event.
More competitive events will be added next time,” KSSC president T P Dasan told reporters on Tuesday in the presence of secretary of CBSE School Management Association Indira Rajan. Participants will be divided into Under-14 and Under-17 categories in boy and girl groups. The district-level athletics meet will end by January 20. Students securing first and second in district contests will be eligible for the state-level meet.
