Missing woman found dead in Manali

The body of a woman, who was reported missing from Thrissur, was found on the shore of the Beas river in Manali.

THRISSUR:The body of a woman, who was reported missing from Thrissur, was found on the shore of the Beas river in Manali.

Police found the body in a decayed condition on January 29 and the family here was informed on Saturday. Manali police were able to identify the woman after they got her passport and clothes on February 11.
They informed her parents and the Nedumpuzha police on the same day.
Nedumpuzha police said the deceased is Shifa Abdul Nisar, daughter of Abula Nizar and Sharmilla of Valiyalukkal, Vadanappilli. Police said her family had not registered a missing complaint.
Shifa was working as an event manager and was on a tour as part of her job to Kochi, Mumbai and Delhi. After finishing her job in Delhi, she had gone to Manali, her father told the police.

Her family got a call from her last on January 7, when she told them she would return on January 15. Her father told police she had lost her mobile phone during the journey and had contacted them from several phones.  
The decayed body was cremated in Manali. Before cremation, the police have done a DNA profiling. Police suspect  it is a case of unnatural death.
