CPI state executive on March 16, 17 

The CPI will hold discussions on the  functioning of party and party organisations in Kannur, Kasargod and Alappuzha districts at its next state executive to be held on March 16 and 17. 

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CPI will hold discussions on the  functioning of party and party organisations in Kannur, Kasargod and Alappuzha districts at its next state executive to be held on March 16 and 17. 


The party has been looking into steps to strengthen its activities in various districts along with the strengthening of party organisations. As part of the district-level discussions, deliberations and assessments are being carried out.

The exercise will be followed up with further discussions at the state executive, which will be attended by the district secretaries and assistant secretaries from these districts.


Assessment on a number of districts has been completed. “The state-wide assessment is expected to be complete by April. Discussions on various party departments are also on. In between the party is also looking into the progress of portfolios under CPI ministers.

The state executive on Friday discussed the functioning of party departments. 


State secretary Kanam Rajendran, central secretariat member Pannian Raveendran, national executive members K E Ismayil, Benoy Viswom, state assistant secretaries Prakash Babu and Sathyan Mokeri attended.
