Around 1.50 pm the judges announced a lunch break for the Drama competition for the High School category at Samooham HSS hall on Thursday. But the spectators remained seated at the venue knowing the fact that there will be a break for another 30 minutes. However,  most of the spectators, mainly the elders, were actually immersed in thought after seeing the drama which just ended before the lunch break. Its all because of the ripples created by St Joseph’s Girls High School, Karukutty, through their drama.

The drama -inspired by  Leo Tolstoy’s ‘Six feet’- touched  the audience.  The story revolved around two couples, who lived in a village. But due to their greedy nature of accumulating more wealth, the husband lost his life while he was busy amassing wealth. The usage of property and the sound mixing also gave extra mileage to the drama.

“At present no human  beings are happy with the wealth they have with them. Most of them want more than what they can enjoy in a life time. We just wanted to  highlight it to the public and  fortunately that came out well,” said Sandra, one of the members of the drama team. “Really this is one of the best plays as it left the audience speechless. This reminded me of our greed, “ said T Ashokkumar, a viewer about the drama. This is an affront to all the Kathakali artists,” they said.
