Tthe minister is feeling the heat of the impending drought in Kerala.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: “There is pressure from every quarter to release water from dams.

But if we do that now, not a single drop of water will be left in dams by April-May,” said Water Resources Minister Mathew T Thomas. Sitting at his office at North Sandwich Block, the minister is feeling the heat of the impending drought.

The minister has a series of activities lined up in the coming days to chart ways to combat the situation. Dams will be opened in due course, but with regulation, he said.
