KANNUR: Political clashes continue unabated in the district as bombs were hurled on the CPM area committee office in Taliparamba.
The house of Kodiyeri CPM North local committee member T Sujith also came under bomb attack on Monday. However, nobody was injured in the attacks.
A tense situation has been prevailing in Taliparamba following the bomb attack on the RSS office there four days ago.
The attack on the CPM office was in retaliation to the attack on the RSS office. Two powerful steel bombs were hurled at the CPM area committee office functioning at the KKN Pariyaram Memorial Hall. The asbestos sheets of the building were broken and the walls damaged in the attack.
CPM district secretary P Jayarajan visited the place. He said the attack was carried out by RSS workers. A proper investigation has to be carried out into the recent incidents of violence, he said.
