Kerala: CPI(M) office set on fire, none injured

KOZHIKODE: The CPI(M) office in nearby Vadakara was set ablaze by unidentified persons in the early hours today.

No casualty was reported, police said.

The fire was noticed at the CPI(M) Choddanur block committee office at about 3 am by locals, who informed the fire and rescue personnel.

Nobody was at the office at the time of the incident, police said.

The party office was partially damaged in the fire.

Furniture and files inside the building were also destroyed, they said.

CPI(M) leaders said they suspect the involvement of Indian Union Muslim League workers behind the incident.
