THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC president M M Hassan lashed out at “the CPM and BJP-RSS attempts to convert the state capital into another Kannur”. He asked Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to immediately intervene and restore peace and normalcy. Hassan told reporters the violent incidents were masterminded by CPM to cover up the government’s administrative failures. The RSS too was keen to divert public attention from the massive corruption by BJP-RSS leaders in the medical college scam.
Security strengthened in Kannur
Kannur:In the wake of CPM-BJP clashes in Thiruvananthapuram, Kannur police chief G Shiva Vikram has directed the officers to tighten security in and around party offices in the district. Police personnel have been deployed at the district committee offices of both the political parties. Security has been strengthened at the houses of important leaders of both political parties and legislators to prevent any untoward incidents.
