IUML to join common platform against BJP

KOZHIKODE: The formation of a common platform against the BJP at the national level is a good sign and the Indian National Muslim League (IUML) should join the movement, observed the national political advisory committee of the party here on Sunday.

IUML national general secretary P K Kunhalikutty MP  said in a press meet the move to form a political alternative, including like-minded parties and social groups will gather momentum soon. The meeting of leaders of Opposition parties convened by Congress president Sonia Gandhi is a good sign, he said.
“The meeting of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee, CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury, BSP leader Mayavati and SP leader Akhilesh Yadav in Chennai will strengthen the move to form a national alternative,” said Kunhalikutty.

Briefing the discussions at the political advisory committee meeting he said the rule of Narendra Modi Government has pushed India to the second place among the world’s fastest growing economies.
