Cops too have to play by rules, says Chief Minister Pinarayi

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday said just like the others police personnel too have to abide by the laws of the land.

THRISSUR: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday said   just like the others  police personnel too have to abide by the laws of the land.

Pinarayi told the gathering at the Kerala Police Academy in Ramavarmapuram here, where the 28th batch of Sub Inspectors passed out,the police should show interest and commitment to uphold the law and implement it accordingly.  

The police should remain neutral at all times and they must not resort to revengeful actions.

According to the Chief Minister, the post of Sub Inspector was a crucial one and hence any shortcomings on their part in implementing the law or its violation  will affect the image of the Kerala Police.

State police chief T P Senkumar and ADGP (Training) K Padmakumar were present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister later presented medals to recruits Anoop, Sunil V and Shyamraj J Nair who had excelled in various events during training.

One hundred and eighty-six Sub Inspectors took part in the Passing-outParade.
