THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A voice call recording, reportedly of the girl involved in the bobbitisation case, reveals the attack was owing to her misunderstanding with Swami Gangesananda Theerthapadar.
In the phone conversation with Swami’s counsel advocate Sasthamangalam Ajithkumar, the girl said she was instigated by swami’s former aide Ayyappadas to attack him.

Earlier, in a letter to the advocate, she had refuted the rape allegations, contrary to her previous statement to the police. According to the voice recording, the girl did not have any sexual relationship with the godman ever. She was instigated by Ayyappadas to attack swami.

Ayyappadas first said he would attack swami but changed his mind later and asked her to attack him. She was forcefully sent by Ayyappadas to where swami was sleeping. She waved the knife but did not know it would hurt this much.

It was as per the direction of Ayyappadas that she contacted the police. The FIR in the case is wrong and her statement was recorded wrong. The police asked her to state she was raped from the age of 16 to invoke the provisions of POCSO.
