THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has confirmed there was intelligence alert on the security threat to Prime Minister Narendra Modi when he came to Kochi on Saturday to inaugurate the Kochi Metro Rail project.

On Tuesday State Police Chief T P Senkumar, while justifying the police action in the Puthuvype issue, too had said there was security threat to the Prime Minister. “The intelligence had alerted about a security threat during the Prime Minister’s visit to Kochi.
