KOCHI: In a new twist to the sexual assault case, the probe team reportedly retrieved the objectionable videos of the actor allegedly recorded by key accused Pulsar Suni.

According to an officer who is part of the investigation team, the visuals were retrieved during forensic examination of the mobile phone which was handed over by Suni to his lawyer at Angamaly.

The lawyer had surrendered the mobile phone along with SIM card and memory card before the Aluva Judicial First Class Magistrate Court. Later, the device was sent to Forensic Science Laboratory in Thiruvananthapuram for examination.

During interrogation, Suni told the officers he had abandoned the mobile phone on roadside at Vennala. Later, he changed the statement and said he threw the phone into the backwaters from the Goshree bridge. Searches conducted by the police and the Navy did not yield any result. Suni had handed over the phone to his lawyer before lodging a petition in the court seeking anticipatory bail.

“The Forensic Laboratory will soon file a report regarding the visuals before the court,” said the officer.
