MUVATTUPUZHA: The Nirmala College, Muvattupuzha, on Wednesday felicitated the college team that won the TNIE GOAL 2017 all-Kerala inter-collegiate football tournament held in Malappuram in January.
The stars of the day were three players - Jithin M, Gokuldeep and Vineesh S - who won the TVS Apache bikes from the organisers for their individual brilliance.
BA Malayalam first year student Jithin, who was selected as the best player of the tournament, was handed over the key by the principal Dr T M Joseph. BA Economics second year student Gokuldeep, who was adjudged the best midfielder, was awarded the key by the Economics Department head Dr H Georgi Neeranal. BA Malayalam first year student Vineesh, who was picked the best player of the final, was handed over the key by Malayalam Department head Dr Lisy Joseph.
Vice-principal Francis Kannadan, Dr Beenamma Mathew, Prof Ebin Wilson and the State Sports Council coach Anwar Sadath were present.
