'Angamaly Diaries' Director reiterates allegation against Kerala police

The cast and crew of ‘Angamaly Diaries’ had  recently alleged harassment by the police at Muvattupuzha.

KOCHI: Director Lijo Jose Pellissery, who had posted a video message on his Facebook page accusing the Kerala Police of harassing the crew of his film ‘Angamaly Diaries’, on Sunday said he stood by the allegation.

However, when asked about the alleged violation of Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) rules by the film crew, he refused to comment.  

The cast and crew of ‘Angamaly Diaries’ had  recently alleged harassment by the police at Muvattupuzha. They were on a campaign to promote the film through vehicle wrap advertising when the police stopped them, suspecting immoral activity.

The police said the crew members were fined earlier for not adhering to the MVD rules, and had repeated the offence.
