THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A social activist on Monday filed a complaint before state police chief T P Senkumar seeking to register a case against the woman who allegedly chopped off the genitals of the self-styled godman at her residence at Pettah the other day.

The complaint was filed by Payichira  Navas, who had filed complaints before the Vigilance Court in the bar bribery and solar cases. In his complaint, Navas said the police should investigate the involvement of the victim and her family in the whole episode.

He raised suspicion it was an attempt from certain quarters by creating a fabricating story. “There is mystery and discrepancies in the whole episode.

The incident occurred at a time when the government is celebrating its first anniversary in the midst of controversies. Hence it could be an attempt to divert the attention of the public,” Navas said. There were unconfirmed reports a senior IPS officer had hatched a conspiracy against Sreehari.

Sreehari is under police observance at the hospital.  He was remanded in judicial custody after the magistrate came to the hospital on Sunday.
The woman has been shifted to the Nirbhaya Shelter Home.
