Three arrested for killing RSS worker in Kerala's Guruvayur

THRISSUR: Three persons were arrested on Tuesday for allegedly being involved in the murder of a 28-year-old Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) worker in Guruvayur, Kerala.

Anand, the RSS worker, was travelling with his friend on a bike when he was attacked by a three-member gang near his house on Sunday. The accused reportedly first rammed their car into Anand's bike and later attacked him with sharp weapons and inflicted severe injuries.

The police have taken Faiz, Jithesh and Karthik in custody in the murder case. However, they have not yet registered a case.

“We have taken three people into custody who are suspected in the case. The identification parade is going on and once confirmed the case will be registered,” said a senior investigating officer, on condition of anonymity.

Anand, was one of two accused in the killing of a CPM worker three years ago. He was out on bail, police said.
