MALAPPURAM: Kottakal police have registered a case against a man who allegedly campaigned against the M R vaccination drive on social media. According to the police, a case has been registered against Ameer, 45, of Othukkungal based on a complaint lodged by district medical officer Dr K Sakeena. Ameer allegedly circulated an audio clip through WhatsApp claiming the vaccination has harmful effects.
The audio clip also alleged the health workers and deputy district medical officer Dr. Mohammed Ismail have failed to clear his doubts at the vaccination programme held at Mundothuparamba UP School recently. Earlier, district collector Amit Meena had warned of strict action against anti vaccination campaigners. A case was registered against a man for assaulting a school teacher during the vaccination programme at Ponnani.
