KANNUR: Intensifying the attack on the Pinarayi Vijayan - led LDF Government in Kerala, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister  Yogi Adityanath said it is high time to put an end to the ‘politics of murder’ pursued by the CPM.In democracy there is no space physical assault, he said while addressing a meeting held as part of the Janaraksha Yathra, led by BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan in Kannur on Wednesday.
“The CPM confronts their opponents physically, not ideologically, eliminates them and creates an atmosphere of fear in the state. In Kannur alone, six RSS activists have been killed after the LDF Government came to power, and four of them belong to the Chief Minister’s constituency.

Kerala, the land of spiritual leaders like Shankaracharya, Sree Narayana Guru and Chattambi Swamikal is known for upholding the values of Sanathana Hinduism. It is the land of great temples like Sabarimala, Sree Padmanabha Swamy temple and Rajarajeshwara Temple in Taliparamba. There is no place for red-jihadi terror in such a sacred land,” he said. The time is ripe to strengthen the fight against these two evils which are posing hurdles to the development of the nation, Adityanath said.

Earlier in the morning he joined the Janaraksha Yathra which started from Keecheri and walked to Kannur along with the thousands of activists. On Thursday, the third day of the march, national president Amit Shah will rejoin the yathra at Mambaram. He is scheduled to walk with Kummanam from Mambaram to Thalassery through Pinarayi, the home ground of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

‘Protection will be provided to BJP workers, vehicles’

Kasargod: District police chief K G Simon assured BJP leaders protection will be provided to party workers and vehicles taking part in the Janarakshayathra, the police said in a statement. Buses transporting BJP workers to Payyannur were attacked at several places between Padannakkad and Karivellur on Tuesday. BJP state committee member V Balakrishna Shetty and district general secretary P Ramesh called on the district police chief on Wednesday. The BJP alleged the attacks were carried out by CPM workers. Simon reportedly told the BJP leaders who called on him that six suspected stone pelters were arrested. The BJP district leadership said it would take party workers from Trikaripur, Udma and Kanhangad for the Payyannur-Thalassery stretch of the yathra.
