IRCTC tour package to Sri Lanka

The state-run Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation(IRCTC) has launched a ‘Ramayana Yatra’ tour package to Sri Lanka in a bid to tap the pilgrim tourism market.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state-run Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation(IRCTC) has launched a ‘Ramayana Yatra’ tour package to Sri Lanka in a bid to tap the pilgrim tourism market. The departure has been scheduled from Kochi Airport on November 20 and provides opportunity to the tourists to visit the sacred places narrated in ‘Ramayana’.

The package also covers the historic tourist places in Sri Lanka with return to Kochi on November 26. Popular tourists spots such as Colombo, Dambulla, Trincomale, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya and Kataragama are included in the seven-day package. The key attractions are: Manavari, Muneeshwaram, Dambulla Cave temple, Thiru Koneshwaram temple, Sri Shankari Devi Shakti Peetham, Hot Springs Well, Marble Beach, Bahirawakanda temple, Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens, Kandy temple, and Ramboda Sri Bhakta Hanuman temple. The cost of the package is Rs.49,472 per person.
