THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: M G Rajamanickam, former chairman and managing director of the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation, will be the new managing director of Kerala State IT Infrastructure Ltd. The Cabinet on Thursday took the decision in this regard. Rajamanickam was serving as the CMD of KSRTC.However, he was abruptly moved out after the last cabinet decided to appoint DGP Hemachandran to the post, as part of action following the Solar Commission report.
The abrupt transfer of Rajamanickam had invited criticism from various corners as he was taking initiatives to revive the debt-ridden Transport Corporation.

Going ahead with various measures to improve the efficiency of the transport corporation, Rajamanickam had invited the wrath of trade unions and many political leaders.
He had opposed many political moves with vested interests within the corporation.
