KOLLAM: The Kerala police on Saturday took into custody two vehicles of a private security agency that provides security to actor Dileep. The vehicles were later released after verifying their documents.
The actor is being investigated in relation to the abduction and molestation of a leading Malayalam actress earlier this year.
According to Kottarakkara circle inspector O A Sunil, instructions to inspect the vehicles were received from higher-ups. The security agency Thunder Force said the police didn't disclose the reason why the vehicles were taken into custody.
Asked for the reason, inspector Sunil said it would be inappropriate to disclose the reason.
"We often receive information requiring such inspection. The vehicles were taken into custody based on such information. But we were satisfied with the documents and didn't spot anything suspicious. The vehicles were immediately released," he said.
Dileep has been out on bail since October 3.
