‘Overall emancipation of country RSS’ goal’

All-round emancipation of the nation is the goal of the RSS and every individual should evolve into a fit instrument for fulfilment of that goal, chief of the Sangh Parivar

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: All-round emancipation of the nation is the goal of the RSS and every individual should evolve into a fit instrument for fulfilment of that goal, chief of the Sangh Parivar fountainhead Mohan Bhagwat said here on Tuesday. He was delivering the keynote address at the valedictory of the navathi celebrations of Bharatheeya Vichara Kendram founder director P Parameshwaran.

“The RSS is a particular pattern of life wherein a definite set of values is followed for the fulfilment of a definite set of goals. The expression differs according to the time, place and individual. But the values don’t change. There is only one goal which is the all round emancipation of the nation,” Bhagwat said.
Bhagwat said the navathi celebration brings a great responsibility to people. He told the gathering they need to dissipate the ideals of Parameshwarji for the betterment of society.

“All 40 centres of Bharatheeya Vichara Kendram in Kerala should be world class intellectual centres. We will see to it the objective is realised in the next 10 years. If resources are required, we will strive to raise it,” he said.Rajya Sabha member Suresh Gopi said he was attracted to the ideology of Parameshwarji after meeting him in 2004. He said the meeting happened after the then Chief Minister directed him to be a peace emissary following the Marad massacre.

“I was turned away by Parameshwarji with the warning there was no need to teach secularism to a community which has continuously been a victim of  pseudo-secularism. I did not consider my ouster as an insult, but as a recognition. Through his words, I learned a big lesson that Hindutva was the true source of unpretentious secularism,” the MP said.
