New melsanthi for Guruvayur temple

Thipillissery Edavazhipurath E P Krishnan Namboothiri was selected as the melsanthi of the Guruvayur temple on Tuesday

THRISSUR : Thipillissery Edavazhipurath E P Krishnan Namboothiri was selected as the melsanthi of the Guruvayur temple on Tuesday. It is for the first time he is becoming the melsanthi of the Guruvayur temple. He was selected from a list of 64 applications submited for the post of melsanthi.

 Of the 64 applications, 41 were called for interview. However, only 35 appeared for the interview held at the Devaswom office at 8 am. Thanthri Chennas Narayanan Namboothiripad and temple Uralan Mullasseri Parmeswaran Namboothiripad interviewed  the applicants.
