MALAPPURAM: The Kadampuzha police have registered a case against school teacher P B Harilal for instigating religious enmity and posting derogatory comments against Kathua rape victim Asifa. The action was taken after a complaint was issued by local CPM leader and Marakkara panchayat member P Jabir. He was also suspended from the school.

Harilal, who had been working with VVM Higher Secondary School, allegedly shared posts which justified the rape and murder of Asifa.

According to Kadampuzha SI K P Vasu, the case was registered under Section 153 A of the IPC and he was charged for promoting enmity between various groups on the grounds of religion.

Jabir said the posts also humiliated the victim. He said Harilal shared the post of Vishnu Nandakumar who was earlier booked by the police on the same charge. Vishnu had justified the murder and rape of the Kathua minor on Facebook.
