Kerala Cricket Association new office bearers in line with Lodha Committee recommendations

As per the order of the Supreme Court, KCA’s current secretary Jayesh George and president Ronklin John have been disqualified from holding a position in the cricket body.

KOCHI: The Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) on Saturday appointed Sreejith V Nair and Sajan K Varghese as its secretary and president respectively with the aim of falling in line with the Lodha Committee recommendations. 

The decision was taken during the state cricket association’s special general body meeting held at Alappuzha. As per the order of the Supreme Court, KCA’s current secretary Jayesh George and president Ronklin John have been disqualified from holding a position in the cricket body.

The new secretary Sreejith was serving as the treasurer of the KCA while Sajan of Pathanamthitta District Cricket Association was one of its vice-presidents. Other vice-presidents K M Abdul Rahman (of Kasargod District Cricket Association) and Rejith Rajendra (of Thiruvananthapuram District Cricket Association) have been made the treasurer and joint-secretary respectively.

The outgoing secretary Jayesh has been appointed Kerala’s representative to the Board Of Control For Cricket In India (BCCI).
