THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:Opposition UDF staged walkout from the Assembly over the government’s casual approach in the camp followers issue. Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan reiterated that wrongdoers in police force won’t be protected and warned of stern action against officers who exploit their support staff.
Referring to media reports, K Muralidharan mocked that the state police force has even the post of ‘midwives’.
Referring to a photo where the former DGP T P Senkumar was seen grabbing a junior officer by his shirt, Pinarayi said such police officers were also there in the force. He was referring to an incident at MG College some while ago. But Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala corrected Pinarayi saying the former top cop got angry at the civil police officer when the latter started to lathi charge the students against his orders.
