Kerala Police Officers Association rails against former DGP KJ Joseph's 'study class'

Sources said Joseph aired his aversion on certain people-friendly programmes such as Janamaithri to which the Police Officers Association leaders raised objection during the review meeting.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former DGP K J Joseph and office bearers of the State Police Officers Association locked horns during the training programme conducted by the department at the Police Training College.   

Held with an objective to improve the approach of the police towards the public, the function saw the former state police head coming under criticism for his comment on the associations as well as views on certain police programmes.

Sources said Joseph aired his aversion on certain people-friendly programmes such as Janamaithri to which the Police Officers Association leaders raised objection during the review meeting held after Joseph’s speech. He also accused the associations of meddling in police investigations, sources said.
