THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: People are frustrated at the corrupt and anti-people rule of the Centre and state governments, and the political atmosphere in the state is in favour of the Congress party, said AICC general secretary Oommen Chandy. He was addressing Congress workers at the inauguration of the Shakthi and Lok Sampark Abhyan programmes at the KPCC headquarters on Monday.

Both the governments are total failures, he said, adding the people are deeply frustrated at the rule of NDA Government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi who assumed power with several tall claims. He said the Prime Minister is not saying anything on the Rafale deal; if he does, it will point to the actual culprit. The corruption in the Rafale deal is being exposed with proof.

The state government which came to power with claims of correcting everything is the start of all wrong practices, the former Chief Minister said. He added there are several failures Pinarayi Vijayan and his government cannot run away from, including Ockhi to dam management during the monsoon.

The government’s image plummeted in the brewery issue. The ball is now in the UDF court and all Congress party workers should work to the utmost for a victory of the UDF and the Congress party, said Chandy.
