With the declaration of Kerala CBSE results to be prolonged for another three to four days, the students and parents are keyed up and under tremendous emotional strain. The results of State Board exams for Std X were published on 16th April and Std XII on 13th May. With the admission season round the corner, the students are a worried lot if they can secure admissions in reputed schools or to a course of their choice because of the delay in results.

With respect to the same, the secretary of CBSE School Managements’ Association has addressed a letter to the chairman of Central Board of Secondary Education, Vineet Joshi IAS, requesting the latter to examine whether the CBSE results could be published on a regional level. Presently, the results are declared simultaneously across the country. “I have been receiving several calls asking about the declaration of results. No date has been finalised yet. However, the information we received is that the results would be delayed,” he said.  “Already, CBSE schools in Kerala are facing many difficulties and the delay would only add fuel to the fire” said Indira Rajan, General Secretary of Kerala CBSE School Managements’ Association.
