WITH THE release of the Oriya musical album Nua Luha, Puruna Luha (Alchemy of Tears) on Tuesday in the Capital, the familiar trio – lyricist Devdas Chhotray, music composer Om Prakash Mohanty and singer Susmita Das – completed their trilogy. And like their earlier ventures of making meaningful music, the new album has generated rave response from music lovers. It could be safely labelled as the magnum opus of the trio. The release ceremony at Rabindra Mandap witnessed a huge gathering of artistes and connoisseurs while the special guests on the occasion included prominent film personality Prashant Nanda, former Orissa Sangeet Natak Akademi president Priyambada Hejmadi and former Chief Secretary D.P.Bagchi. Chhotray-Om Prakash- Susmita apart, Harsha Vardhan Lal, producer of the album, released under his Pine Cask banner, also joined the ceremony.

The album - a set of two CDs – contains 16 songs penned in the rare ghazal and Sufi genre.
