Three die in accidents

BERHAMPUR: Three persons died in two road accidents on Monday.  On NH-5 near Raghunathpur on the outskirts of the city, two persons were grievously injured when their motorcycles collided. Though they were rushed to MKCG Medical, they succumbed. They have been identified as Ramesh Behera (33) and Prasanna Patra (34).

 In another incident, K Nageswar Rao (55), a staffer of employment exchange on the Berhampur University campus, was crushed to death by a bus. Rao was crossing the road when the incident occurred.

Cellphone Snatchers Nabbed: Two engineering students were arrested by Baidyanathpur police and 21 mobile phones seized from their possession on Monday. The two have been identified as Manoj Maharana and Suraj Sahu, both aged 20 and are students of a private engineering college here. They were residents of Ashoka Nagar. On Sunday, they had snatched the mobile phone of a retired judge and basing on his complaint, police made the arrests.

During interrogation, the two admitted to the crime.
