PARADIP: The Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Ltd. (IFFCO), here has surpassed all previous records and achieved a record production of 18.41 lakh tonnes during the last fiscal. The annual target for the unit was set at 18 lakh tonnes.
The unit has also received ‘Excellent Energy Efficient Unit’ award under the ‘National Energy Management Award - 2011’, at a function organised by CII.
Despite several protests and hindrances last year the company’s Paradip unit also managed to bag the 12th Global Greentech Environment Excellence Award 2011 - Gold for Environment Management in Fertiliser Sector.
