BHUBANESWAR: Leader of the NCP Legislature Party (NCPLP) Amar Prasad Satpathy on Saturday demanded a House committee to go into the delay in completion of rituals and management deficiencies in Puri Jagannath temple.

Satpathy said that the House committee should study the reasons behind the delay and suggest remedial measures. Raising the issue during zero hour, Jiban Pradip Das (BJD) said delay in completion of rituals had now become a regular feature. Das asked when rituals can be completed in a smooth manner in other temples of the country, why it will not be possible in Puri Jagannath temple.
