BHUBANESWAR: Leaders, cutting across partylines, mourned Nalinikanta Mohanty on Friday.

President of OPCC Niranjan Patnaik said he was a true leader of the people who took great care of the electorate.

BJP general secretary and Rajya Sabha member Dharmendra Pradhan expressed his heart-felt condolences to the family of Mohanty. Senior BJP leader Biswabhushan Harichandan, and former Union minister and MP Bhakta Charan Das also mourned Mohanty.

President of the Biju Yuva Janata Dal Sanjay Dasburma expressed grief and remembered how Mohanty proved his popularity by getting elected seven times to the Assembly from Rajnagar constituency. Senior NCP leader Amar Prasad Satpathy paid his last respects to Mohanty at SUM Hospital.  Condolences also poured in from various quarters other than political.
