NAYAGARH: A quarrel between two children playing on a village street turned fatal on Thursday in Kaithagadia village under Town Police limits with the death of two persons in a bomb attack.

The tussle between grandchildren of Shankar Mallick and Kumar Mallick -- both brothers -- started on Tuesday over purchase of snacks. The kids fight drew the women out of houses and they abused each other.

The next evening, when Kumar and his sons were away, Shankar and his two sons, Abhimanyu and Rabindra along with some youths, entered Kumar’s house and abused the women.

On Thursday morning, Abhimanyu and Rabindra hurled  hand bombs at Kumar and his son Bhagaban while they were standing on the verandah of their house. Kumar died on way to SCB Medical, Cuttack while Bhagaban who was undergoing treatment at Nayagarh Hospital died on Friday noon. Shankar and his sons are absconding.
