BERHAMPUR: Three undertrial prisoners (UTPs) were injured in a clash between two groups of UTPs in Bhanjanagar sub-jail.

Jailor Rabindranath Behera said the UTPs had been arrested for murder and were lodged in different cells in the sub-jail.

While one group comprised supporters of Nilamani Bisoi, another group had supporters of Bisoi’s rival Kulu Bhuyan. Whenever the members of both the groups were taken out of their cells, they tried to attack each other. To restore peace, a meeting was convened between the two groups on Friday.

However, there was a heated  argument leading to attack, injuring three UTPs.
