SUNDARGARH: Two of the seven inter-state criminals, involved in a bank loot were on Thursday arrested from Ranchi in Jharkhand.

Sundargarh SP Sanjeev Arora identified the criminals as Chhaten Turi (40) and Md. Taukar alias Bombayia of Jharkhand. Another Ajay Biswakarma of Kuanrmunda in Sundargarh district was also arrested for harbouring the criminals and abetting crime. He said the success came after special police squad searched possible hideouts of the criminals in Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand for several days. The rest five would also be arrested soon, he said.

 They were involved in a series of heinous crimes including murders, dacoity, kidnap and extortion in Jharkhand.

Police said the recovery included ` 2,11,370 of the booty, one country-made revolver, live cartridges, three empty 9-mm Pistol Magazine, three mobile phones and as many motorcycles.

On April 16 the miscreants looted ` 14.20 lakh from Bolinga branch of SBI.
