ANGUL: A Sub-inspector Samarjit Nayak, suspended earlier on bribery charges, was once again caught allegedly taking a bribe of  ` 5,000 on Saturday.

Vigilance sleuths caught him red-handed accepting

` 5,000 from a coal transporter for issuing certificate for insurance in an accident case.

Nayak was with the Talcher Sadar police station.

Prakash Pal, Vigilance Inspector in Angul, said Nayak had demanded the money for providing insurance documents with regard to an accident case which occurred in Lingaraj mines.

Receiving information, the Vigilance sleuths laid a trap and caught the errant official.
