Hundreds join OJM, office-bearers appointed

More than 100 leaders of various political parties on Friday joined Odisha Jana Morcha (OJM) in the presence of OJM chairman Pyarimohan Mohapatra and other organisers.

Those who joined included Congress leaders and workers, Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) from Balangir, Ganjam, Balasore, Bhadrak, Khurda, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar districts.

OJM will admit leaders, workers and activists on Fridays at its State headquarters, currently functioning from the residence of Rajya Sabha member Pyarimohan Mohapatra. Meanwhile, Pyari on Friday nominated the State office-bearers, State council members and the district presidents of the Odisha Yuva Jana Morcha  (OYJM). Sidheswari Prasad Mishra has been nominated as the State president of OYJM.

The youth wing has three vice-presidents, Nayan Das, Sampa Mazumdar and Debabrata Mishra, two general secretaries Sayad Afroz Alli and Saroj Kumar Pattanayak and six secretaries Jayadarshi Nayak, Narsing Singh, Nagendra Ratha, Subasis Mohanty, Prakash Rana and Abineswar Satpathy. The 12-member State council of the youth wing and presidents of Cuttack Mahanagar, Ekamra (Bhubaneswar), Central (Bhubaneswar), North Bhubaneswar, Dhenkanal, Balangir, Kalahandi, Rourkela and Boudh were also announced. 

A release issued by the Morcha stated that presidents of other districts will be announced in due course.
